Lawyer And Human Right Activist Mike Ozekhome Released


Human Rights lawyer, Chief Mike Ozekhome  has finally regained freedom after being abducted two weeks ago by suspected kidnappers.

Though, it cannot be  ascertained, how much was paid as ransom. It is rumored that the sum of N100million was paid by his family and friends to secure his release.

There was jubilation in his Oviukwe community in Etsako East Local Government Council of Edo State following his release by his abductors. It was learnt that the Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) was abandoned  near Agbor at about 1am.
The Edo State Police Commissioner, Folunso Adebanjo has confirmed his release.

Ex-Aviation Minister, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode who is a family friend to the Ozekhomes also confirmed the release this morning, he said:
“I just spoke to him and he was very excited,” the former minister said. “He was full of thanks to God and was in very high spirits.”
