Catholic Church Releases Statement About The Adoration Ministry Stampede That Claimed About 28 Lives

The Catholic Church has in a statement released sympathised with Families of the deceased who lost their lives at the Adoration Ministry stampede that claimed about 28 lives.

As reported earlier, Anambra Governor Peter Obi i and his candidate, Willie Obiano had arrived to the  [Adoration Ministry] at the early morning hours of about 12:15am to address the audience that had come for night vigil thereafter a stampede broke out that left about 28 dead

In the early hours of Saturday, November 02, 2013, there was a stampede moments after prayers at the Holy Ghost Adoration Centre, Uke, in Idemili South LGA of Anambra State.
The stampede, which occurred while people were going home, resulted in the loss of some lives.
Some are still injured and receiving treatments in some hospitals.

Minister of Aviation BMW Car Scandal: Coscharis Opens Up At The Reps Panel

The Nigerian Customs Service (NCS) on Wednesday said that the Federal Ministry of Finance granted a waiver of N10.1 million to Coscharis Motors for the purchase of the two BMW cars by the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA).

The NCS told the House of Representatives Committee on Aviation investigating the alleged importation of the cars by the NCAA for the Minister of Aviation Ms Stella Oduah that the said waiver was to import 300 vehicles, including the controversial two BMW cars.

Representative of the Comptroller-General of the NCS, Mr Manasseh Jatau, a Deputy Comptroller of Customs, disclosed this in his presentation at the public hearing of the case on Wednesday in Abuja.

He said the point of entry of the cars was Tincan Port in Lagos, adding that no import duty was collected from the owner of the goods (Coscharis Motors) as a one-year duty waiver for 300 cars was granted in the name of the company for importation of cars for Eko 2012 Games in Lagos.

FELLOW NIGERIANS,

1. Today marks 53 years of our Independence as a nation. First and foremost, I would like to say congratulations to us all. Through thick and thin, we have built this country together. Through triumphs and trials, we have developed a Nigerian identity in our own way.

2. In truth, Nigeria is still a work in progress and we are challenged everyday to keep building in spite of the various obstacles that we face. Our strength has been in our diversity. If we look back over the years, we can say confidently that there is every reason to celebrate.

Why He Is Not Ready To Get Married

I have noticed this myself and have heard the sad tales of young single women from all sorts of backgrounds and theological persuasions. I have witnessed the self-indulgent lifestyles of guys who like women and seem to like babies well enough, as long as they belong to someone else. I have watched normal, rational moms turn into Mrs. Okonkwo overnight, sharing their frustrations with the lack of suitable men for their daughters who are prepared for and longing for marriage and children.

It seems to me that there are plenty of things that could cause a young man to be anxious about pleasing a wife, causing him to delay marriage. Below are just some thoughts whirling around my head why men find it difficult to marry.

Lawyer And Human Right Activist Mike Ozekhome Released

Human Rights lawyer, Chief Mike Ozekhome  has finally regained freedom after being abducted two weeks ago by suspected kidnappers.

Though, it cannot be  ascertained, how much was paid as ransom. It is rumored that the sum of N100million was paid by his family and friends to secure his release.

There was jubilation in his Oviukwe community in Etsako East Local Government Council of Edo State following his release by his abductors. It was learnt that the Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) was abandoned  near Agbor at about 1am.
